We are considering the purchase of THREE of the Blichmann BrewEasy systems for a new business.

(1) 5 gallon unit
(2) 10 gallon units

We need some technical details about the units for our building permits and we need someone at Blichmann to confirm when the electric units will be available.

We have tried numerous ways to get our questions answered:

(1) Called several of the retail outlets who sell the Blichmann BrewEasy. None of the retail units who sell this product can answer our questions nor do they have any idea when the unit will be available. The largest retail outlet said "new product, we have never used it, cannot tell you anything about it, there is a manual somewhere on the web..."

(2) Filled out a contact form on the Blichmann website and received automated answer to expect answer in about four weeks.

(3) Sendta private message through homebrewtalk to Blichmann Engineering but received no response.

(4) Found several numbers for Blichmann on the internet. Called them all. They are all wrong numbers.

The Blichmann BrewEasy looks like a product we want to use in our business -- but very difficult to make a decision unless we can talk to someone who knows more and has used the product.

Anyone have a direct phone number to Blichmann or a contact name of someone who will answer an email?

Thanks

Not sure if you saw this thread:

Blichmann has been answering questions in there. While there is no definitive date specified, one of the more recent posts said the electric version was still on target for last week of May/first week of June. With the holiday weekend I would imagine things may be quiet until next week. Hope it helps.

I was told there was a recall on the electric version and it won't be re-released until late July or later. As for your building information I was also told they are all 220/240V so you will need a 220V outlet, not 110.

More information- Blichmann says they get a 10% reduction is efficiency versus a three tier all grain unit Something good to know. I am planning on actually making this into more of a three tier system to recapture some of that lost efficiency. I think for mash and boil the ease of use and space used is hard to beat.

I found GreatFermentations.com were a great source of information on the product and they offered it $100 cheaper than anyone else.
