Just saw what ya had in your primary lim just trying to find a good thanksgiving beer and wanted to try a new brew

EdWort's Rye IPA. It's an excellent beer. I usually dry hop, cascade and centennial, use your favorite hops. You might want to use some rice hulls in the mash, rye gets a little sticky. And if you bottle, stir before bottling. For some reason I get an uneven carbonation if I don't, the priming sugar seems to suspend in the bottom of the bottling bucket. It could be something I am doing wrong, but it is the only beer I have this problem with.

I haven't been brewing long, but I have to say at this point it is my favorite beer so far.

I dont understand why the ibus say 48 for this beer just adding the Columbus at 14.8 aa I get 53 ibus. I did brew it up today:) am I doing the calculations wrong?

Yea it uses the Tinseth i believe but if i calulate all the hops added i get arount 80+ but it seems to factor in the late addtions alot. It also has a FG around 1.069 and i hit 1.062 but that was just probally mash efficiency issues. Thanks for all your help i have brewed a number of all grain batches but i just really getting interested in mash efficiency, calulating IBU's, Water Chemistry, etc.... should i not calulate my additions after 10 mins?
