I understand that a true Helles Bock is lagered. However, being a beginner I was wondering if anyone has a recipe for a Hesses Bock style brew that will be ready far sooner than a true lager. I'm looking for a brew that has the maltiness and low hops profile but is a lighter more golden color. Any ideas?

Find a helles bock lager recipe you like and use a clean, neutral ale yeast like pacman or us 05. Ferment it in the 60's :)

Hey, Rogue's Dead Guy Ale is a Maibock ale!
