LME added at the end of a boil - no hot break?

I've read that you don't have to boil LME, and that boiling the LME has a risk of scorching.

Wouldn't the LME cause a hot break when boiled? Otherwise, it is just boiling water.

It's been a while since I've used just LME, but I have boiled some LME batches.

I think it's common to not get a hot break at all with LME, as it's already been boiled and processed by the manufacturer. I do occasionally get a hot break with DME though.

We got a wild hot break with wheat DME once,but never with LME.
