I've made several vacuum sealed jars of wort from DME to cut down time for starters, kept them refrigerated in my keezer. The liquid yeast vails are kept in the same keezer. Can I pour liquid yeast and the refrigerated wort in a beaker before placing it on stir plate without needing to raise them to room temperature first? I tried searching for answer, I understand that it's the temperature difference between the yeast and wort that will shock the yeast cells hindering their performance and as well as high temperature more than 80°F will give undesirable flavor. Now in my current situation both yeast and the wort are kept at same temperature, will there be any issue? I'm thinking the starter will reach room temperature in less than few hours on the stir plate, or am I risking anything?
