Let's jazz up my BLACK ALE

Bout to do my third batch. Switching to a black ale from AHS.

I have put my own twist on my last two batches of IPA by adding different hops. Is there anything y'all recommend to jazz this one up? If not hops, with something else?

I did a dark ale that was really good and next time around I used some saison yeast and it tasted similar to Ommegang Three Eye Raven http://www.ommegang.com/got/three_eyed_raven.php
