Generally speaking, if one uses a less flocculent strain of yeast, should they wait be longer before bottling? I am only using a primary and plan on waiting three weeks before bottling. Does this sound right? Also, what about moving the primary before moving it for racking to the bottling bucket. Will there be more yeast kicked up with a less flocculent strain, and will it take longer to settle?

first off make sure fermentation has completed. 3 weeks should be fine and you don't need to worry about the yeast settling. they'll bottle condition just fine. it just might be a little hazy. a lot of that will drop to the bottom of the bottle whenever you put your carbonated bottles into the fridge

The longer you leave the bottles in the fridge they will clear and the yeast compact.

3 weeks should be fine.

As to letting it settle before bottling? The night before should suffice?
