Legalization of Home Distilling, "Yay" or "Nay?"

Considering our staunch support for the legalization of home brewing, I thought it might be interesting to get everyone's opinion on the legalization of home distilling. The folks at www.homedistiller.org have created a petition on the white house website to try to rally support for the movement. Please discuss.

While much riskier than making beer or wine, all the law does is stop law abiding citizens from doing it. Anyone who wants to can find the resources easy enough and it's not something that everyone would be interested in (from what I understand it's much harder than beer or wine making)

I'd want to do it honestly, but well after beer and wine.

I don't like laws outside of the 10 Commandments. I think that is all that should be necessary for a society to operate for the most part. There's your answer.
