So I made a brew with some leftover ingredients. I'm thinking it will be a cross inbetween an American Brown ale and a hoppy Porter. Please let me know how you think it will turn out.

8 oz. Chocolate malts
9 oz. Victory malts
16 oz. Crystal malts.
All steeped together for 30 minutes at 150 to 170 degrees

2 lbs. 5 oz. Amber DME
1.6 oz. Northern Brewer Hops 4.85 AA (7.8 AAU's)
Boiled for 60 minutes

1.5 oz. Cascade hops 7.5 AA (11.25 AAU's)
Boiled 15 minutes

4 lbs. 5 oz. Pale LME
Boiled last 5 minutes.

WLP005 British Ale Yeast

I did not do a gravity reading unfortunetly.

I did taste the wort and it really wasn't very good. Too bitter and not really in a good way. Still drinkable tho.

This is my first time making my brew without a reciepe. I have no clue.... Please give me advice and corrections.

Thank you!

Yeah, I would have to agree with you. I checked the BJCP guidelines and I think it will be pretty close to an American Brown. Hopefully it taste good.....
