I just bottled a simple Belgian brown today. Poured myself an un-carbed glass of it and my first thoughts were 'Mmmm, Leffe Brune'. Not what I was going for and not sure where it'll end up after a few weeks in the bottle but here is the recipe if you are interested.
2kg Pale malt
1Kg Light DME
0.5kg Special B
0.8kg Lylle's golden syrup
0.2kg brown sugar
80g Mount Hood hops at 60 mins
T-58 yeast
fermented on the low end (i.e. just left it at whatever temp the room is at)
OG: 1.045 ish before sugar, sugar added during fermentation (which was done in about a day)
FG: 1.012
There are more recipes (with a lot of ingredients) on this forum if you do a search. Some include wheat and oats but the label says only barley, hops, water if i remember rightly. My friend can't have wheat so i remember checking for it.
This isn't a clone as i say, but it does remind me a lot of Leffe brune.
Hope it helps!
