leaky sight glass/thermometer combo- help?

Hi all,

I bought a weldless sight glass w/ thermometer kit and just finished installation on my keggle. No leaks coming from the vessel where the silicon o-ring sets, but I'm getting a slow leak from the thermometer. Was I supposed to put a gasket in there? I tightened it down pretty good, but theres still quite a bit of thread showing.

Also I'm getting a leak from where my hose barb connects to my bulkhead. (only with the valve open of course). Any suggestions?

did u use teflon tape on the threads?

No teflon tape. I totally brain farted on that one. I'll try that and see if it helps. Thanks. I'm working on getting some pic's on there for reference.

Added teflon tape and no more leaks. Thanks again for the tip.
