I made a 2 gallon starter of 1.04 wort with 2 packs of wyeast 1056 for a 10 gallon batch I am going to brew.
I pitched the yeast around 6 pm sunday and started seeing activity about 6 hours later. Now there is still krauson but it is starting to go down.
I would like to brew on friday so, should I wait for the krauson to drop out and the starter to begin to clear or should I pop it in the fridge tomorrow so it will be clear and ready to decant by friday?
In short: how long should I let this starter go and how long should I expect it to take to clear once in the fridge?

I tend too find a day and a half is enough time too let the yeast crash. I personally would let it ferment out till first thing Thursday morning and pop it in the fridge.
