Hey everyone!
I'm new here, and to the home brewing process. I am currently in the process of making a black cherry mead with Lalvin K1-V1116 as my yeast. My issue is it is not fermenting the same as the bread yeast I used (Fleischmann's) for my watermelon mead. With that one, within 24 hours there was a noticeable difference, and fermenting had started. With my black cherry, it's been about 36 hours and there is no change at all. I know that each mead is different, but I expected to see some change by now. This is only my second attempt at mead so I don't know much yet.
Any input or advice is welcomed and appreciated!

I've had slow starts before as well.
If the yeast was within date, your temperatures are in range, it will get going.
(I've even had yeast that was two years out of date work just fine.)
Just chill and have a drink.
