I have a 2 liter starter for my lager. I have let it fully ferment because i couldnt brew for 3 days. In order to drop out the yeast so that i can decant the wort- what temp should i cool the stater to? With ales, i usually have just cooled to 50's. I would guess that unless i cool to freezing the lager yeast will be slow to drop.

Most just put it in the fridge overnight the day before brewing and then decant. I personally havent seen anyone regulate the temp for decanting.

if its fully fermented out the yeast should have gone to the bottom already. With lager starters I found that placing ttem in a fridge while fermenting doesn't make the yeast fall out by much. That's why I have to let them all ferment out before I can decant the starter beer.
