Lacto starter question.

I made a lacto starter with 1.5L OF 1.030 wort in a flask. Left it in my San Diego garage with foil on the top? Was I wrong? Or should I put an air lock on it since lacto don't like oxygen. It's been about 90-100 in the garage all day. Any tips or pointers??? Thanks!

Should be fine. Just don't use a stir plate.
