kombucha too foamy??

I brewed a batch and my last one was hardly carbonated so for this one I added some goji berry juice to each individual bottle and capped them for 2 days for a second ferment.. k so I had them in the fridge for a day after that and just went to open one.. it foamed SO MUCH like mentos and coke.. I was sitting there drinking the foam because it just wouldn't stop rising i'm convinced if I let it sit there for an hour the liquid would have completely disappeared and turned to 100 percent foam... what did I do wrong?
