After my first fermentation the drink taste like black tea. I'm doing 2nd fermentation right now with tart cherry Juice. Is this how it supposed to taste like after 1st fermentation? I really like how the GT 'S Enlightened Organic Raw Original Kombucha taste like.

Is it better to use 1 gallon jar or 2 gallon jar? At the moment I'm using 2 gallon jar for 1st fermentation.

how many days of brewing
photo of the scoby?

Let us know.

7 days, 2 gallons, 2 cups of organic sugar, 16 bags of black tea

Scoby looks like this, not perfectly round and not fat like on YouTube, it's very thing like a peace of cloth

I am hoping someone speaks up. I have a 1 and 1/2 gal. batch that has a weak flavor after 8 days of brewing. Is there some way to jump-start the batch to get more of the kombucha flavor? I thought about adding more sugar? It is a rich tea color and I use a cup and a half of sugar.
