Ok, so I found a source for kegs and I am going to make an AG system for doing 10 gallons over the winter..... By looking at the pictures, it looks like the top keg is keg + spigot + thermometer and so is the bottom keg (i'm going to use a cooler for the sparge/lauder)... Couple easy questions:

Do you HAVE to weld the spigot in? Link to good spigots?
Do you HAVE to weld the thermometer in? Link to thermometer?
* by HAVE to I mean, is there any weldless things I can use? I have all the means to cut & drill stainless but I would rather not rely in a welder, however, I dont want to sacrifice quality.

Is that all I need is a spigot & thermometer?
Where should those 2 be mounted I.E. therm, 10 inches above bottom, spigot 1 inch above bottom?

I am under the impression I just need a thermometer and spigot, if i'm way off base, tell me to f - off and RTFM.

I don't have thermometers in either of my kegs since i don't know a good way to do it without welding. For the spigot I used something called a through-hull valve that I bought at a boating store. No welding, and they are easy to install and never leak. I'll look for a link for you.

Some pics to show you what they look like, they are similar to weld less kits that you can buy from brewing stores.
