Hey guys,

I just got the Kegland RAPT temperature controller and pill and I can't find anything to tell me what that number in brackets next to my gravity reading means. If anyone knows what pt/d means it would be a great help thanks!

My guess is that it is fermentation rate in "points/day." If your beer started at 1.060, and 24 hours later it was at 1.040, your rate would be "-20.0 pt/d." I suspect the "-77.4" is a bogus number, because there is no real data for the controller to work with.

Brew on :mug:

Well...clearly, the attempt is to quantify a slope in a moment in time, and at the moment that reading was made perhaps the fermentation was in the max krausen phase providing a steep slope that if it was maintained for 24 hours would hit that number...

Cheers!
