I'm stuck on how to mount my ball valve. I mounted my thermo/sightglass combo 5/8" off the weld. I want to mount my ball valve with elbow internal attachment like shown in the photo. Above the thermometer and angled down to the left to protect the thermometer. This will leave the ball valve mounted just below the bump out in my keggle.

I want to draw my wort from the corner of the keggle. I currently whirlpool around my immersion chiller and would like to get the maximum amount of wort out of my keggle.

How can I reach the bottom of the keggle from where the elbow is mounted?
Is mounting my ball valve that high bad?
I will be using this without a pump for some months until i upgrade.
