Could one use a hot water, plastic covered by stainless braid, faucet connector as a siphon pickup tube in a keggle?

I mean to say that I would use it unmutilated, with the plastic tubing left inside the braid so it would simply pickup. I want to do this to avoid having to bend stainless pipe. I am imagining it would just droop down to the bottom or could be weighted down.

Will the plastic inner tubing melt, be damaged or leach anything into the wort?

Is it a bad idea for any other reason?

I am not sure if I am phrasing the question poorly. I ordered the gasline which comes with compression fittings. Don't see why it wouldn't work.
