Hi all - I am still struggling with getting homebrewed root beer to carbonate right. I added a second regulator and 25' of beer line and have kept it at 40psi / 40 degrees for over a week and it is still totally flat. No co2 appears to be leaking. The beer is pouring great at ~10 psi. Any thoughts or tips?

Shake the hell out of the keg. It will carbonate. I could never get soda to pour right out of my kegerator and gave up. Co2 would come out of solution in the line and would be foamy but taste flat. I had better luck putting it in 2L bottled and using the carbonator cap.

Don't forget to purge the air from the keg when you tap it. Get it cold and after a few days if it's not carbonated enough, lay the keg on its side and shake it for a minute or two.
