Many moons ago I was living in a Saudi Arabia and built one of the first kegerator's that I was aware of. It was no small task, I traded 4 hours of immigration paperwork with a Somalian Pepsi employee to get the kegs and had a nurse "borrow" medical grade C02. Back then 120V small fridges were also hard to come by, it needed to be discrete so I could move it around in case I needed to hide it. Well, all was good until the fridge froze the keg and cracked it leaking my beer all over the floor.

After moving back home, I built the next few kegerators with top loading freezers, so if it leaked it would be contained. All good, until friends/family pour themselves a pint and don't check if the tap is closed completely..... more beer on the floor.....

I found this little bad boy, it alarms when liquid closes the circuit. It will wake the dead and it came with my RO system. Cheap solution that has detected one leaking tap so far!

Great idea! Got the name of it? I wonder if the regular basement leak detectors would work?
Unfortunately no name or part number on it, but yeah it is just a regular basement leak detector. I think the electrode design is key, the metal parts are ever so slightly retracted, otherwise the metal drip tray would set it off.

That’s pretty cool. I put springs in my faucets that are pretty effective.
I made the mistake of buying these flow control faucets and there is no room for a spring, I think there is a shank you can buy with more room but was hoping they would wear out, need to drink more I guess...
