Hi All!

New to the forum, hoping some of you can share some wisdom. I am hoping to change a rather dirty draft line and I encountered an issue when taking apart the kegerator coupler. Please see the attached photos. Can anyone tell me if that cinched piece of metal is closing the tube down around the nipple? Is my only option to cut the line and pair what is left of the tubing to the new line? Can I replace the nipple with something I can just slide the tubing onto? My, be it minimal, understanding was that i would simply have to slide the new tubing onto a nipple and clamp it down. What I am seeing seems to indicate otherwise. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Yes, that is a crimped ferrule which is considered non-reusable. You just need a new tailpiece and beer washer; you can likely reuse the wingnut...
