Ok, so converting a minifridge into a kegerator and have enough room for my 5 gal and 3 gal, but no place to put the co2 tank. Is there any reason not to keep the CO2 outside the fridge other than keeping from drilling another hole?

As long as you can keep it from being tampered with or knocked over you can keep it outside.
