keezer questions

i have been looking into building a keezer but there are a few things im not sure on. In some of the pictures there seems to be a cup of water in the freezer? And there are also some with little computer like fans. What are the purpose of both of these.

i have been looking into building a keezer but there are a few things im not sure on. In some of the pictures there seems to be a cup of water in the freezer? And there are also some with little computer like fans. What are the purpose of both of these.

The cup of water is used to add some thermal mass around the temp probe so that the compressor doesn't cycle on and off constantly. the computer fans are used to circulate the air to avoid temp gradients which helps with foaming because the coldest air goes to the bottom and the beer lines are at the top. among other things
