I have a question. When this batch is done can I just dump more juice and sugar on top of the yeast cake or is it better to re-pitch with new yeast?

Cheers!
G.

After I thought about it, I figured it would be silly considering how cheep yeast is. But people do use it to make Skeeter Pee, right?

I've pitched right onto Nottingham cake from a high gravity cider with another high grav cider. Needless to say, fermentation is impressive. Flavor was hotter with second cider after primary. Took longer to mellow out. However, from one straight juice cider pitching onto the next, no flavor change noticed at primary. I'm no brewologist :drunk: but it makes sense to me.

Been in primary since 2/21. Should I secondary, bottle or just leave it alone? If I leave it, how long? It was at .997 two weeks ago.

Followed recipe exactly.

Thanks!
G.

I figured since there about 9000 threads on apfelwein one more wouldn't hurt. Sorry this one sent you over the top :)
