Hi Boys and Girls,

Poking around on the VTwin Forum I read a thread "What's your Favorite Beer ?". Started reading and everyone likes their homebrew. Hum…. I think to myself; sounds like a neat endeavor for the off season. Surfed the web went to a local shop and I'm off.

Ordered a kit and some extras from Williams. Arrived Monday, the beginning of a new obsession… :ban:

Sure is a good idea for an off season hobby....only problem is there is no"off season" for brewing.heheh hope the bug doesnt bite you too hard.Welcome to the obsesion. If you ever get into warren county give me a shout.Always love talking shop about brewing, bikes, and music.

Hey Brewslut,

OK, I'll go year round... I'll try to take you up on the shop talk; once I have something to show up with. I'm just getting started and am looking to all you gurus for guidance. My first visit to a "local" shop was a little disappointing. Can you recommend some local shops ?

Happy brewing….

Joe Blow! Welcome. I am from Piscataway and also new to brewing my own. I hit the Brewer's Apprentice in Freehold this past weekend and it was pretty cool. They have a binder there, you just order up your recipe and they prep a kit from all fresh ingredients. Lot's of cool gear and hardware too. They have a website as well.

Thanks Bopper359…

My first purchase was online from Williams. Unfortunately it was not it was not without some issues. The smack pack in my Wyeast was activated and the package looked like the Hindenburg. Then I notice the lid for the second fermenter bucket was not in the box either. In both cases they sent replacements without any questions. Good customer service.

I'm sure I'll go both local and online (I'll give your suggestions a wirl too). I'd just like to have a good relationship with someone local.

Happy Brewing….

Thanks shroomzofdoom...

I'll check out Brewer's Apprentice. Good luck with your new endeavor.
