A buddy wants to make our next mead a jasmin mead. Anyone have a recipe or ideas that we could try.

Check out the recipe database here and see what you can find. I think I have seen a recipe or two for jasmine mead on gotmead.com. Or, you could take a standard mead recipe and play around with it by adding jasmine and other spices, fruits, etc.
