Cleaned up on some bottles today!! Buddy of mine mentioned that his mom had "bout a thousand" bottles in her garage. I thought for sure he was bs'n me. I told him if they were pry off tops, I'd take em all. He sent me a text with a picture and I noticed that most of them were Corona bottles and I told him I couldn't (didn't want to) use them because they are clear. He showed up at my work today with 248 brown bottles!! Warsteiner to be exact!! Just saved me about $150.00!!! I'm a happy camper!!

make sure you give him some beer.

Corona bottles are great for non-hopped stuff- like apfelwein.

Very nice! Now that's a good friend.

I've also picked up tons of perfect condition bottles at recycle drop offs. The bins are usually full so people just stack cases of bottles around them. :)

Yikes, thats a lot of cleaning. I am glad that you have the will to do it. I would love to bottle more of my beer, to lazy I just keg...

Yeah, the cleaning part will be not so much fun!! But, I'll just keep reminding myself how much money I saved!!
