another year gone by. tobacco still present in the nose but pretty much gone in the taste now. it's gotten more bitter? almost cocoa-like bitterness, even get some chocolate hints with some vigorous swishing. burnt sugar, molasses. fig

Can you imagine yourself saying this in 2013 when you joined TalkBeer?

While I can't stand most trends, and can be a curmudgeonly bastard (see NE IPA), more well made Barrel Aged Barleywine is never a bad thing.

Central Waters Bourbon Barrel Barleywine has been the most amazing hidden gem for years, and if we get more **** like that at an affordable price point I'm all for it.

People are starting to get wise. I was only able to buy 4 four packs of CW and it was mostly gone within a couple weeks. That **** used to sit.
