I am 24 hours into my first batch (a red ale) . Everything seems to have gone well but my air lock is only getting bubbles every 40-60 seconds or so. Should I be seeing more action?
I'm using the standard Ale Pail bucket for the primary so I am unable to actually see anything. Is it okay open the lid or would this disturb the initial fermentation stage?
