I let it sit a few hours and now I have these strange off-colored patched floating on the top!

It looks like it could be a lactose infection to me, but I'm not sure.

That doesn't look good. It would be a shame to toss the whole thing but better safe than sorry.

bottled and opened a few hours ago?

not enough information provided to make any kind of judgement call on that photo. I say 'dirty coffee cup'.

approx 8oz brewed starbucks coffee
approx 2 tablespoons half and half
approx 1/2 teaspoon sugar

I prefer not to add adjuncts into my coffee. Reinheitsgebot. Call me an EAC if you must.

Ecch, I find big-name places sparge their coffee too hot, extracting too many polyphenols. And they don't do anything about channelling! Much better to do it at home.
