Good morning everyone!

I finally ordered up some kegging gear and now I need to get a co2 tank. There are a few on Craigslist and one is a converted fire extinguisher at a reasonable price. I'm wondering if that's a real thing. Anybody using one?

thanks!

Depends. It has to be in date or it cannot be filled. I think some brands won't fit a standard regulator and having it converted to do so is probably cost prohibitive, and I believe they have dip tubes in them, so you have to remove that. It's worth seeing if it can fit the standard regulator and you should open it up to inspect it.

If these people are selling them already converted, then it should be okay. I'd still want to see the inside and it still has to be in date.
