I've never brewed an Irish Red and just made a recipe for it. It's a little bigger than the usual Irish Red, but not obnoxious or ostentatious. I'm hoping for a malty red beer, with just a touch of diacetyl, that's not too sweet. Will this be any good?

3 Gal
OG: 1.059
FG: 1.015
IBU: 24
ABV: 5.8%
SRM: 18

Mash the following at 154
7 lbs English Pale
4 oz Amber Malt
4 oz Flaked Oats
3.2 oz Chocolate Malt
.8 oz Carafa II

Boil for 60 mins
.25 oz Admiral @ 60
.5 oz Fuggles @ 10
.5 oz Fuggles at flameout

Ferment Irish Ale Yeast WLP004 - 66F until FG

Thoughts?

I think this will be a good beer. If you want to be more purely "traditional," include a little crystal; cut the chocolate back or totally eliminate it; and move the flameout and 10-minute additions to 20 minutes or earlier. That will emphasize maltiness and tone down hops and roast.
