Is there any point in using Irish moss in a stout or porter or other really dark, thick beers? Just wondering, I'm assuming its not going to change much, at least not visually.

I would agree, I no longer use Irish Moss or Worflock tables in my darker beers.
 
Yeah kind of pointless. My rule is that if you can't see through it when it's in a glass, then no point in using irish moss.
