iPhone Users: are you getting upside down pictures?

This is really bizarre...

I like to use my iPhone 3gs as a camera. It's convenient to upload and I always have it with me. I am running into an odd issue though: my pictures are upside down...sorta. What I mean by this is that the "preview" of the picture is right side up, but if you actually view the file the picture is upside down. This even holds true once the picture has been uploaded. Take this picture that I uploaded to panoramio for instance:

Upside down! WTF?!?!

edit: Alright, apparently if I hold the phone with the home button on the right it doesn't have this problem. I don't see why it matters though since the phone knows which way is up.

i've had a similar problem with my iTouch. for me the portrait pics come out rotated to the left 90 degrees. landscape pics come out fine. its probably a bug in the OS that Apple needs to fix. hopefully soon.

Landscapes do come out fine if the phone was rotated to the left, the way a right handed person normally would, but I'm left handed which might explain why nearly all of my photos have been upside-down. Now that I know how I can get it right but how on earth has this not been fixed?
