Has anyone tried wine or infused spirits from either of these western plains fruits ?

I just want a couple pounds of chokecherries for a lambic-style beer.

Anyone?

Buffalo berry should be ready the end of Sept in MO. Every time I have ever been around Springfield the last week or so of Sept they are thick. There is another berry that is ripe the same time and looks just almost like the Buffalo but has three seeds instead of only one and taste as foul as anything you ever put in your mouth. The leaves of the two trees are just a little different so you only make the mistake one time. Don't know if they are poison or not. Mike

i started 2 kits of barolo 2 days ago
put about 3 pounds of choke cherries in each one
have done this for years each fall
also add 4 kiwi's for body
am drinking last years as i type
use a medium kit, 50-60$
its as good as some of my higher end batches
good luck
