Hey everybody, I'm gathering pieces for my ebiab setup and I've got a question about the ITC - 100. In the description on Amazon it says it has it an ON/OFF mode, can somebody explain what this is?

Thanks!

I don't own an ITC-100, but the Amazon description I see says it has a PID and an ON/OFF mode. The ON/OFF mode is a that of a a conventional thermostat so that whenever the measured temperature is too low, it's circuit will close to turn on Heat. The PID mode is a little smarter in that it controls duty cycle according to how far away the measured temperature is from the target (Proportional), how long it's been away from the target (Integral), and how fast it is approaching the target (Differential). They both have their purposes.
