Is the standard probe on the 308 fully submersible in wort? I know NB sells a Thermostar where the standard probe is not submersible. Only the upgraded probe is.

Ok to run the 308 probe down a few inches into the wort for best readings and temp control?

I put my probe in a Stopper Thermowell .

It seems more sanitary and easier to keep in place.
I've always put some starsan in the theromowell to improve the temperature conductivity.
So, in that sense it is submersible.

But having fermenting wort and krausen all over it is probably not good in the long term.

I emailed the company who produces Inkbird and they assured me the probe is sealed and completely submersible.
