Induction top

Has anyone tried or used this method on a 5 to 10 gallon boil? Just trying to weigh my options out.

I guess I'm wondering what it be a smart thing to buying a induction top over a propane stove. Thanks

The typical 110 V household units don't have the power to do a full boil - maybe if it was just 5 gal TO START with. 3 gallons, no problem.

However they work great for heating water in an HLT, and to direct "fire" a mash tun. That is what I do. Makes step mashes a breeze. I boil with propane
