I am using nutrients (LD Carlson Yeast Nutrient) for the first time and so I don't know what to expect at each stage. Day 1 was great and saw more activity in the airlock than in any of my previous batches. I degassed on day 3 and added more nutrient and again, great activity which had diminished a little by day 6, but was still better than previous batches. Day 6 I degassed again and added the last dose of nutrients. At first I notices that one of my two demijohns was seeing the activity that I had expected but the other one was barely doing anything. I suspected maybe the seal was not perfect so I removed the airlock, dried the bung and bottle neck and adjusted the seal. There was a little improvement so I left it. Today (Day 7) there is almost no activity in either one. I swirled a little and there was good froth and activity picked up briefly, and then has gone back to almost zero. I was expecting vigorous activity again after adding the last bit of nutrients, so now I am confused as to what might be happening. Thoughts or comments anyone?
Thank you

LD Carlson yeast nutrient seems to contain food grade urea. It's a less desired yeast nutrient, I linked a reddit post which gives an explanation. If you can't get Fermaid O or K in Mexico, a yeast energizer, DAP (Diammonium phosphate) and boiled bakers yeast, DAP and GoFerm, or DAP and yeast hulls, is a good alternative.

Now, your mead isn't ruined, but you should in the future use a better nutrient. I think they sell it in North America because it's cheap.
