Im not sure this is the right place to post it, but I'll take the chance.

My question is about Black IPA.

I made Black IPA once, and it was good. This time I would like to go further and do an Imperial/Double black IPA.

But if I want to compete with it, under what Style/definition is it?

I looked under BJCP Style Guidelines and couldn't find any.

Help!

won't be under the 2008 style guidelines, it will be under the new ones set to come out this year. I forget what the new category will be.

would love to have the recipe, if you don't mind sharing it

I don't think competitions will start using the new guidelines this year. I think there will be a lag before judges are up on all the new stuff. As of now it'll be category 23 Specialty. Base style would be 14C Imperial IPA.

either or both, thanks!

and I didn't really completely answer your original question: enter it in Speciality Beer - Category 23 and indicate whether it is English (14A), American (14B) or Imperial (14C) based.

Here is a picture of my black IPA I made.
