Let my boss take home a six pack of an IPA. Very nervous about it cause he is a bit of a beer snob, most of the commercial IPA's that I really enjoy and have recommended to him he hasn't really liked, but got this email from him yesterday.

Feels good to get some positive feedback.

Hey,

The beer is awesome!! Absolutely superb! Perfect in every way.

Excellent job. Holy crap, you nailed it.

Thanks!

Nice work man. But it is a HBT rule that bragging must come with a recipe.... Or we will have to flag this post.....

;)

Recipe is an extract with steeping grains.

3gallon boil to up to 5 gallons

I used 7 lbs of amber DME
1lb caramel 40L Steeped at 155 for 30 min

1 oz warrior at 60
.5 oz warrior at 35
.5 oz Simcoe and Cascade at 30 min
then using the continuous hopping method ala dogfish head with another half oz each of Cascade and Simcoe.

Add .5 oz of Cascade and Simcoe at flameout and let steep for 10 minutes prior to chilling

Dryhop with 1 oz each of Simcoe and Cascade for 7 days

Yeast is WLP001 made a 2L starter and fermented at 64*F

3 weeks in primary then bottle.
