IIPA hop bitterness check

I never trust calculators for hop bitterness when making a beer this big. I'm looking for the sort of beer that feels "pretty bitter" on your first drink and let's you get to the bottom of the pint before you're saying "That was actually pretty damn bitter." So, assertive but not overwhelming.
