so my first thought was no way never. it looks totally proprietary. but on closer inspection its kind of cool. the designer combined temperature control, pressure fermentation, and fermenting/ serving from the same vessel. as many of you know im also a big fan of mini kegging in PET, thats partly why this caught my eye. its basiclally minikeggingPET AIO system. pretty cool. and the no boil extract with hop oil is very easy peasy. it prolly makes very similar beer to say brewdemon or some other HME kit. except its kegged and temp control , so likely that much better.
it looks like its not limited to there kits . whcih would make it better. but im not sure if you can program it manually without the rfid stickers.
you can do AG in it and you can also attach those 5 liter mini heinekin type kegs. to it.

its an interesting concept. with some benefits that i can see.

i wish it was bigger than 1 gallon batches.

its not as gimmicky as i thought at first.
6 bills is still too much for me tho.

The design feature is that you can opt not to use RFID and instead select the brewing program on the screen, or customize it using the app.

Selecting the brewing program on the screen is a feature that comes standard with the machine from the factory.

If it doesn't cost anything you may want to update your website AND manual (the most recent one doesn't even list "master mode") to reflect this adjustment because this says otherwise -- https://igulu.com/community/forum/topic/124550/master-mode-cards
https://igulu.com/products/master-mode-premium-card

And according to the review here from 6/13/2024 there's a limited time to get master mode unlocked for free, otherwise $100 to simply disable a feature -- https://www.tomsguide.com/home/igul...st-add-water-and-wait-for-the-magic-to-happen
You can also use your own ingredients; the company’s website has instructions for making a hazy IPA, hard cider, and kombucha. However, this requires setting the machine to Master Mode; it’s currently free, but the company says that at some point in the future, it will cost $100 extra.

Also, these are instructions DANGEROUS for your target audience (those who need a Keurig type product to make beer) - https://igulu.com/blogs/recipes/brewing-alcohol-free-beer-at-home-a-guide-to-the-methods --> https://www.nfpa.org/news-blogs-and-articles/nfpa-journal/2018/03/01/safe-distilling

Haha, that’s an interesting idea. Even with low-ABV, there will still be some alcohol, which isn’t very suitable for kids to drink.

However, I can provide some information, using special yeast that produces only a small amount of alcohol through its metabolism of monosaccharides. Based on a test I did myself:
OG 1.021, fermented with LA-01 yeast for 20 days, FG 1.015, resulting in an alcohol content of approximately 0.79%.

Here’s the link to the yeast if you need it: https://fermentis.com/en/product/safbrew-la‑01/
I'm still waiting for someone to do one with low-ABV kits as an educational accompaniment to the EZ Bake Oven..; "Billy Bocker's EZ Brew Pub-Keg"

Thank you for the information. I believe we need to make the page content more detailed and clearer.
1. Even without activating the Master Mode, users can use their own ingredients. The screen comes preloaded with several commonly used brewing processes, including both ale and lager.
2. The main feature of the Master Mode is access to the app, which aims to provide a more convenient way to create your own recipes. Additionally, there are some small tools on the screen that offer extra flexibility and customization options. Activating the Master Mode is a one-time purchase that grants lifetime access. And currently, Master Mode is free now.
3. Regarding the dangerous part, I do agree with your viewpoint, and I will share your valuable feedback with our marketing team colleagues.

Defend all you want, but these features shouldn't be locked from the factory, ever. Besides the fact that the master mode card breaks some machines (at least according to forum posts on your site). Alas, you asked for feedback and your defending your product design choices. So it doesn't seem you necessarily want feedback but promotion of said product.

I took some time to look into the igulu machine, and the concept is neat. If i may suggest, the biggest thing for me is the ability to customize everything. lagering times, ferment times temp etc. is a feature set as a home brewer i would look for in this type of machine. it looks like some of this is customizable but more ablity to tweak is always good.(perhaps future enhancements to master mode)

the second thing that may be of some value is the possibility of a larger size(2 gallon maybe) that can work with both one and 2 gallon type kits. 1 gallon is "alot" of beer to some people, to others its the appetizer.:)

i am sure you have also already seen this video review , but there was good feed back in it.

one of the last things is deliver of kits to make beer, i have had previous smaller machines(when i didnt have time for a full brew but needed a brewing hit) and the kits that the machines needed took a long time to get made and then ship. that was a bummer, when it took a week or 2 before it even shipped.

thanks for sponsoring HBT, keep trying to inovate in the space.

Thank you very much for your suggestion, I find it very helpful. Regarding the first point, during the initial design phase, I might have been quite hesitant and uncertain. I was worried that opening up too many options might make it seem complicated for users who are not very experienced, or that some less appropriate settings might lead to brewing failures. Perhaps my concerns were misplaced.
