Our shop is a job shop so we're always changing set-ups and making brand new parts. That's one of the reasons I like my job; if it was just production all the time I would go crazy. Now I'm hands on with the part from blueprint to Mastercam to set-up to finished product. It's fun some days, hair-pulling most, but always satisfying at the end of the day.
I fix the stuff pictured in this photo. FYI, thats a clean-lookin' JV3![]()
Impressive fabrication. I love my job too!
Very much looking forward to field season!
Anybody got any favorite melon wine recipes?
Thanks, I got it used a few years back for a decent price. Had to replace one print head and two dampers when it got here. It's been running ever since.
I work from one of several mobile offices.

Shaky, are you a breeder? Only time I've seen an operation like that was at Syngenta. Very cool!
I fly a mobile office also, although it's more like a flying TV studio.

The view angle is a bit deceiving but it looks like an AS350?
You are correct, AS350B2 to be exact.
Either way I still don't know how you guys keep that basketball balanced on that needle.
Looks like there are a few of us on HBT. I've been working from home for a while now. Got a Fadal mill and Hardinge CNC lathe stuffed into a one and a half car garage along with manual machines. Only four axis on the Fadal, but can still make some pretty interesting stuff. The job still has its moments, but after over 40 years in the business, I'd rather be brewing!I'm a CNC Machinist . . .And anyone who hasn't seen a 5-axis machine doing it's duty is missing out
I work at a seafood smoker

The image of me holding him is shortly after we busted him out of jail
The image of the three pups is his new home and Kaleel full grown!!!
He was left for dead near Coolidge Arizona. The local animal control picked him up and he was put on the e list (euthanasia list)...We saved him, and now he is in a wonderful home!!!
Yeah, I F*n love my job!

I love the challange and the variety. Although I am starting to get tired of working at heights as I get older. I love that one day I am a mason, next a carpenter, welder, its fun to play with different media so I can keep my skills sharp. Lately I have been commissioned to build furniture so thats fun.
The machinists and the pilots win for wow factor, but I say we all help the salmon-guy and the avocado-guy to organize a massive HBT feast!
The only question is...what will we drink?![]()
