Ok so originally i had mistakenly done 40 oz honey in valume instead of weight. So i split the batch. I then mixed the rest of my honey with more water yeast and some nutrients and split that between the the two jugs. Well the problem is wile one of the jars is brewing the other seems to have stalled out or is going so slow i cant tell.

So my qwestion is could i add some more nutrients to give the yeast a boost or should i wait or maybe hydrate some yeast and ad them to the jug.

I'd let it ride.

Those bungs sometimes like to work their way loose. I use rubber bands or a wrap of tape to keep it in place. Any leak there will bypass the airlock.
Ok this new hobby is really gana test my patience isnt it.

Yeah, it does. When I started I barely could let my fermentation go for a week before I bottled them up. Now I go for 3 weeks fermenting and actually have some stuff aging longer term.

Well i just realized i didnt airate the must i added to my brewing mead could that be a problem?

Well i gave it a full day and still nothing is happening i think ethor its dead or bearly hanging on

Thought just came to me. Sence i was planing on adding blackberry jam to the 2nd fermentation would adding it early possibly restart the yeast or would that overload it with suger. Ita homade so its just blackberrys suger and pectin. Or could i put in some diomonian phosphate and shok the yeast back to life

Those little bubbles at the edge of the surface looks like something. Look carefully, is there no sparkle at all to the surface? Mead isn't like beer with a big obvious krausen. It may look like the surface of mostly flat champagne.
