I accidentally put Melanoidin in instead of Carafoam. Will this screw up anything/give me a different flavor/make it taste off?

Original Recipe:
Milk Stout
5 Gallon
OG: 1.060 FG:1.013
ABV:6.27% IBU:25.6
Color:36.9 SRM

7lb 2-Row (60.9%)
1lb Flaked Oats (8.7%)
.5lb Crystal 80 (4.3%)
.5lb Roasted Barley (4.3%)
1lb Carafa II (8.7%)
.5lb Carafoam (now Melanoidin) (8.7%)
1lb Lactose (Milk Sugar) (8.7%)

1oz Perle @60 (8% - 25.6IBU)

WLP004 - Irish Ale Yeast

In a milk stout you'll probably be fine. In fact I like it better with the melanoidin. It will give it more malty character. Should be delicious!

Agreed with paterj, Melanoidin should be great in a milk stout. Also, crystal malts help maintain foam stability, so you might still get the foaming head you're looking for.

No that looks like a pretty solid recipe. I wouldn't expect it (or want it) to get down to 1.013 though. Should be right around 1.020 or maybe a little bit above that which will be perfect for a milk stout.
