Yesterday at the grocery store we passed a big display of apple juice on sale for .87/ litre. I had recently blown through most of my brewing budget/ self imposed allowance so I limited myself to 4. :( then she asks me why I didn't pick up a case of it. When I say it because there's nothing left in the cider budget, she says go grab a case. Now she wants me to just make sure that I make up a batch of her favourite recipe. Muahahahaha! Spouse funded and sanctioned cider. Probably for the best, she went through most of the previous batch and it was gone quickly. So now I have 4 one gallon batches and a 5.5 gallon batch going and supplies on hand for the next few

Woot! I'm with you, I make cider because my wife loves it - a four gallon batch never last more than two or three months around here.

Me three! My wife is a " big fan" of all the ciders I make, and didn't hound me when I recently purchased 5 one gallon bottles, on her debit card even! LOL I like to make Apple Jack, and I am on a mission to see at what point, do I stop the fermentation?
My wife also loves the Apple Jack as well, and used to get half grumpy when I want to stash some for aging, instead of drinking it then. I say "used to" now that she has tasted some 8 month old AJ, and looks forward to the day the bottle gets opened for serving. I am holding out for the holidays...
